Stern-Gerlach Simulation:
Used to measure the value of the fundamental Planck Constant (h) of Quantum Mechanics

In the experiment simulated below, one observes the deflection of a beam of neutral Silver atoms in a constant, but inhomogeneous magnetic field.
This magnetic field creates a non-zero force on the atom's magnetic moment in the y-direction, and zero force in the x-direction.
Classically, the atoms should have a continuous range of final deviations, but in reality there are only a discrete set realized.
The atoms are shot from the left with some initial velocity in the x-direction.
The equation of motion for a constant force is x=(vx)(t) & y=(1/2)(a)(t)2.
The acceleration (a) = F/m.
The time (t) is calculated from distance travelled (L) divided by velocity (vx) along the x-direction.
So, y=(1/2)(F/m)(L/vx)2
Force F = - Grad[U] = -[U] = the negative gradient of a potential.
In this case, only the y-direction has a gradient: Fz = -∂U/∂y
The potential U = ±μB(g/2)Bz, with μB = eћ/2me
So, Fz = ±(eћ/2me)(g/2)(∂By/∂y)
So, y = (1/2)(F/m)(L/vx)2 = (F*L2)/4KE = ±[ (eћ/2me)(g/2)(∂By/∂y)*(L2/4KE) ]
coords

In the experiment below, several Stern-Gerlach runs are setup in sequence.
Quantum measurement effects become apparent when one or more of the beams is blocked.
The originating beam is Incoherent. All possible states of magnetic moment are possible.
However, after any given SG run, the resulting beams are Polarized along the gradient of the given SG run.
Sutible adjustments of the angles show that the classically "blocked" beam can be recreated further down the line.
This is not possible classically, thus reality is shown to be quantum.

Example of Multi-Stern-Gerlach showing example rotated magnets in sequence

The color used here only indicates the polarization angle of the beam(s).

This is actually very similar to a Multi-Polarizer Experiment with light/photons.
The major difference is that the polarizers absorb some of the beam rather than passing a split beam as in Stern-Gerlach.
A 90° between adjacent polarizers blocks propagation for 100% efficient polarizers.

Example of Multi-Polarizer showing example rotated polarizers in sequence

The color used here only indicates the polarization angle of the beam (not wavelength), although angle differences of 180° are equivalent.
