For PastedDepthMap mode, find any image and copy to clipboard (ex. Ctrl-C), then paste to stereogram picture with (Ctrl-V)

Copy-paste inline image data below (ex. "data:image/jpeg;base64{{ lots of pic data }}"):

Use FireFox WebBrowser to Google search "depth map", switch to [Google Images], find a gray-scale DepthMap picture, then right-click it and [View Image Info]

You can typically scroll up/down thru available images, then pick one and copy it, then paste it here

Then goto the "DepthMap" object, but you have to select it twice - trying to figure out why it doesn't load fully the first time...

This is an update to my old Stereogram program so that it will work in javascript, and thus on any browser.

You can still find the old program at StereogramsOldJava. Good luck getting it to run.

At the moment, some (the basics), but not all of the original features are implemented.

Below are a some red-blue chromostereopsis pics. These are different from the random-dot overlap style autostereograms. Not entirely understood, CHROMOSTEREOPSIS is a fascinating visual illusion where two-dimensional red-blue or red-green images appear to have depth. It has been written about for over a century and is thought to be caused by chromatic aberration in the eye. The effect varies for different people and is a true stereo illusion – it require both eyes. Close one eye and the depth effect disappears. It is commonly found in stained-glass, historically artists have been aware of this effect, using it to generate advancing or receding perspectives.
